School Bus Service

for 2015- 2016

The Hawaii State Department of Education has contracted Roberts Hawaii School Bus to provide bus service for the Radford Complex, which consists of seven elementary schools, one middle, and Radford High School (RHS).  A fixed number of buses serve the Radford Complex schools and this greatly affects afterschool bus service at RHS.  This means that on some days, the elementary school students may be serviced first and our students will need to wait for their buses.  Currently, no schedule has been released so pick up times will be announced.  If you have any concerns, please refer to the numbers below.

Applications are available at the Radford High School main office or can be downloaded from the link below on the right in the Related Downloads section.

Separate applications must be completed for each bus rider in your family.  Multiple family members attending different public schools must submit applications at the attending school.

Free Bus Pass

Students who meet one or more of the following criteria may receive a free bus pass. Please complete Part 3 of the application form if you believe your child is eligible for a free bus pass, and check all applicable criteria categories:

·      Student qualifies for the free lunch program (Note: Students who qualify for reduced lunch prices are not eligible for a free bus pass)

·      Student is a foster child

·      Student is homeless (McKinney-Vento eligible)

·      Student’s Special Education plan includes regular transportation as a related service

·      Student is directed by the District to attend a school outside of the designated attendance area

·      Student has three older siblings who are fare-paying bus rider

Please make sure to carefully read and understand the instructions in the school bus handbook.

RADFORD HIGH SCHOOL will be accepting and handling all payment for school bus service.  After your payment has been received, and bus application approved, your child will receive a permanent bus pass within 5-7 working days.  Temporary bus passes will be issued for riding the bus in the interim.

THE BUS COMPANY WILL BE ENFORCING A STRICT “NO PASS, NO RIDE” POLICY THIS SCHOOL YEAR.  IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL PAYMENTS BE TURNED IN WITH THE APPLICATION TO EXPEDITE THE PROCESS.
